TYAN’s AI Inference-Optimized Platforms Add Support for NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPU

TAIPEI, Taiwan, March 22, 2023 — TYAN, an industry-leading server platform design manufacturer and a MiTAC Computing Technology Corporation subsidiary, today announced its wide range of AI and HPC server platforms that support the latest NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPU for numerous applications, including AI inference, cloud computing, simulation, and data science.

“As AI is becoming more pervasive, the demand for accelerated computing is increasing more than ever,” said Danny Hsu, Vice President of MiTAC Computing Technology Corporation’s TYAN Business Unit. “TYAN’s leading portfolio of AI server platforms powered by the NVIDIA L4 GPU’s fourth-generation Tensor Core technology enables delivering performance gains and energy-efficient solutions for high throughput and low latency in TYAN’s servers, from the data center to the cloud.”

“The NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPU is a breakthrough universal accelerator for efficient video, AI and graphics,” said Dave Salvator, Director of Accelerated Computing Products at NVIDIA. “TYAN servers with NVIDIA L4 GPUs are optimized for inference at scale for a broad range of AI applications, including AI video, recommendations, voice-based AI avatar assistants, generative AI, and contact center automation to deliver the best personalized experiences.”

For maximum GPU density and performance, TYAN’s Thunder HX FT83A-B7129 is a 4U dual-socket supercomputer supporting up to eight NVIDIA L4 GPUs. Featuring dual 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors and 32 DDR4 DIMM slots, the FT83A-B7129 platform provides outstanding heterogeneous computing power for a variety of GPU-based scientific high performance computing, AI training, inference, and deep learning applications. The system offers twelve 3.5-inch tool-less drive bays with up to four U.2 NVMe devices.

Targeting smaller HPC workloads that need large computing power at the deskside, the 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processor-based Thunder HX FT65T-B5652 and AMD EYPC 9004 Series processor-based Transport HX FT65T-B8050 are single-socket, rack-convertible pedestal server platforms with support for up to four NVIDIA L4 GPUs. The FT65T-B5652 accommodates eight DDR5 DIMM slots, six 3.5-inch SATA, two NVMe U.2 hot-swap tool-less drive bays and an NVMe M.2 port for a high-performance boot drive; The Transport HX FT65T-B8050 features eight DDR5 DIMM slots, eight 3.5″ SATA and two 2.5″ NVMe U.2 hot-swap, tool-less drive bays.

The Thunder HX TS75-B7132 and Thunder HX TS75A-B7132 are 2U server platforms that support dual 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, two NVIDIA L4 GPUs, 32 DDR5 DIMM slots and five PCIe 5.0 slots that are ideal for high-performance in-memory computing and virtualization applications. Both platforms provide two 10GbE or GbE onboard LAN, one OCP v3.0 LAN mezzanine slot and two NVMe M.2 ports. The TS75-B7132 provides eight 3.5-inch hot-swap tool-less NVMe/SATA hybrid drive bays; the TS75A-B7132 accommodates ten 2.5-inch SATA and sixteen NVMe U.2 drive bays.
